At Cawthorne Cat Hotel, ALL of our rooms are much larger than standard cattery pens, and ALL exceed the new 5 star higher welfare standards for catteries which were introduced in 2018.  Our double rooms are even bigger than the “family” rooms at many other catteries which are used to house 4 cats!  This means we have more space for toys and enrichment and play, and more spots for a cosy catnap. There is MORE space for any of your cat's favouite things that they want to bring from home.  And plenty of room for us to sit down, snuggle up, and spend time enjoying their company.  We even have more views - there are 3 different views from each room, and we are surrounded by fabulous gardens and wildlife - so there is always something interesting to watch.

Drinking fountain £3 per stay (covers cost of replacement filter)

Freshly grown cat grass £4 standard £6 family size (please order 1 week in advance)

Nail trim £5 (we don't trim nails that require a vet - please ask for details)

Closure Dates 2024:  We will be closed from the 5th November - 4th December 2024 for our annual break.

Closure Dates 2025:  We will be closed from the 4th - 13th July 2025 and 4th November - 2nd December 2025 for our annual breaks.

We are now taking bookings up to the 3rd November 2025. 
December 2025 - November 2026 dates will be released on the 1st February 2025.

  • The minimum stay is 3 days.  Short stays of 3, 4 or 5 days are subject to an additional fee of £20. This is to cover the additional costs of cleaning and disinfection of your cat's room and all the soft furnishings and toys used during their stay, plus the cost of our premium cat litter.  We want all guests to have the best experience, whether they are staying a few weeks or just a few days. 

  • For new guests staying with us for the first time, we normally request a minimum stay of a week.  This is to give us time to get to know your cat and help them to settle in really well, so they return home having had a positive experience.  Next time they come, they'll remember all about it and settle in really quickly.

  • Your cat’s stay includes food, treats and toys.  We stock all the major brands of cat food and will send you a copy of our current menu when you book.  If your cat is on a prescription or specialist diet, or needs other foods not on our menu, you will need to bring these from home.  We will feed your cat exactly according to your instructions.

  • We do not charge extra for play sessions, light grooming, or keeping in touch via WhatsApp to let you know how your cat is getting on - these are all included.

  • If your cat is on medication, we will administer it according to your vet's instructions.  We do not charge for this service.
